This vehicle is a three owner C.V.E. OMNI which is
a low floor bus and currently benefits from one seat which is for the
driver. The engine is a Perkins 4182 diesel of 2977cc purportedly doing
20 miles to the gallon. There is a pair of air opening doors to the
front near-side, one escape door to the rear off-side and twin opening
doors to the rear giving a 36" opening with a ramp and switch to
lower the rear suspension.
History
First registered 17/01/1991 to Humberside City
Council then sold by them to Hull City Council on 01/04/1996. Whilst
with Hull City Council, this vehicle was fleet number 540 and shows as a
16 seater bus with disabled facilities. It was only used for very
limited runs, generally from depot to home to day centre and return.
In October 2000 Hull City Council last serviced it when it
was showing 26295. Now showing 26700.
The vehicle was subsequently sold 06/10/2001 to the final owner
Externally the
vehicle is just
21' 9" long, 7' 6" wide and 8' 9"high
The body is a rust proof glass fibre GRP
body and has a pop-up sun roof.
Inside measurements are
16' 6" long by 6' 10" wide with wheel arches in it and
6' 8" headroom throughout. Plus the cab is a further
4' 6" long
The taxation class for this vehicle is
private/light goods(PLG). The MoT is a standard MoT and the driving
licence required is a normal car licence.
WHAT COULD THIS BE USED FOR?
i) A motor home ?
With the rear ramp down and 36" access the rear part could be utilised
for motor bikes or carts etc. and the forward section for accommodation
ii) You could live in it (wood burning
stove etc.)?
Move your home when ever the whim occurs
iii) or you could just keep goats in it!
(metal floor for hygiene)
